Mandate-based representation
Learn about written authority and rights verification. Rights-holder enquiries are unavailable in this preview.
BTXT Rights is a public information site about music copyright and responsible platform reporting. This preview explains how mandate-based representation can work, but it is not currently accepting rights-holder enquiries, infringement reports or case data.
Written mandates · Work-specific verification · Official platform channels
This site explains the checks a responsible representative should make before reporting a suspected use: confirm authority, identify the work and rights, and document the relevant platform material.

Public reporting is not available in this preview. No report, evidence or personal information can be submitted here.
Representation-led review for recorded music, rights catalogues and digital applications.
Distinguish the recorded performance, ownership claims and relevant licensing scope.
Report a specific listing, music file, app package or platform URL.
Structure ownership, representation and evidence materials for review.
This site describes a responsible framework: any representative should act within a relevant written mandate, identify the actual rights holder and let the platform decide whether content or an app is removed.
Rights-holder representation and platform complaints are coordinated through distinct, auditable stages.
Check the agency mandate, scope and term for the rights holder.
Match the recording or work to the suspected platform use and applicable territory.
Prepare and manually file an accurate complaint through the platform’s official channel.
Track acknowledgements and actual platform responses without implying automatic removal.
This preview provides information only. It does not accept reports or submit notices to platforms.
Clear guidance helps reduce incomplete reports and supports responsible review. Explore practical answers before you submit.
This public preview provides general information only. Rights-holder enquiries, public reports, uploads and case tracking are not available.
General information about mandate verification, digital infringement assessment, official notices and platform follow-up. Rights-holder enquiries are not currently open.
Music rights are complex. An effective response needs clear evidence, precise rights information and a careful understanding of the platform involved.
Record the principal’s identity and written mandate. Check covered recordings, compositions, catalogues, territories, platforms, term and reporting authority.
Evaluate alleged unauthorised use in applications, stores, streaming services or websites, including links, evidence, licensing and possible exceptions.
Prepare accurate platform-specific copyright notice materials, identify the true rights holder and authorised agent, and submit manually via official channels.
Track submitted notices, case references, evidence requests and decisions reported by independent platforms; never promise takedown.
Identify the tracks, artist credits, release references, dates and territories relevant to the claimed rights.
Document app listings, package identifiers and specific uses of musical content rather than relying on an app name alone.
Review direct content URLs, account references and the context of alleged use.
Record authorisation scope, supporting evidence and case decisions for follow-up.
An authorised-agent workflow—not an independent takedown service. The platform makes the decision.
Confirm the rights holder’s legal identity, current written mandate and scope for each work, territory, right and relevant platform.
Document the precise application, package or URL and the alleged use. Review catalogue data, licences and any contextual evidence.
An authorised operator manually files an accurate complaint with the relevant platform. Internal draft or readiness does not prove filing.
Record the official platform reference, acknowledgement, requests and actual results. The platform alone determines restriction or removal.
Confirm the copyright owner and authorised agent are separate, accurately recorded parties.
Link rights type, work identifiers, territory, platform and authorisation dates.
An authorised reviewer prepares notice materials; filing occurs separately on the platform’s official channel.
Preserve the actual response and update case records without claiming control over platform outcomes.
A third-party authorised representative of music copyright holders, focused on rights-specific reporting through official digital-platform channels.
BTXT Rights is positioned as an independent third-party music copyright representative. Within applicable written mandates, it assesses suspected infringements, verifies work and territory coverage, prepares official platform notices and records follow-up. Public tip submissions provide secondary leads, not the institution’s principal identity.
Agency authority is never presumed to cover an entire group catalogue. The actual rights holder and BTXT Rights operating legal entity must be identified correctly in every external notice; public naming of clients and use of their logos require suitable permission.
BTXT Rights is the working brand for a third-party authorised music copyright representation service. Its mandate register and operator workflow link the principal, work, territory, rights type and official platform channel. We are not an app-store operator, a government regulator or a statutory authority; platforms independently decide whether to act on a complaint. This version remains a local pre-launch test until its actual operating entity and disclosures are finalised.
Clear identification of whose rights are claimed, and who is authorised to act.
Evidence reviewed in context, with a documented reason for changing a case status.
No unverified performance claims, invented partners or promises of automatic takedown.
Restricted evidence access and clear public guidance on sensitive information.
Public accountability requires disclosure of the real legal entity and contact channels. The brand name by itself does not prove an individual client mandate or authorise public use of client names and logos.
For policy detail, read the privacy notice and rights verification guidance.
Choose between rights-holder representation enquiries, public infringement tips and secure case follow-up.
The public preview explains the information a future rights-holder enquiry may require. No enquiries are being accepted.
This preview does not accept tips or send platform notices. Read the general reporting guidance.
Tracking is unavailable because this public preview has no case records.
A verified business identity and monitored email channels must be published before this demonstration is opened for real rights claims.

Answers about eligibility, evidence, reviews and case tracking.
BTXT Rights is currently a public information preview. It is not accepting clients, reports or mandates, and it does not submit complaints to platforms. The guidance describes a general, mandate-based review process; it is not a claim that a representation service is currently operating.
Report submission is currently unavailable. This website does not accept case details or supporting files.
No. BTXT Rights cannot delist an app or remove third-party content. A formal report requires verified legal authority and is submitted through the relevant platform’s official channel; the platform decides the outcome.
File uploads are unavailable. Do not email or otherwise send confidential records, identity documents or case materials to this preview.
A reviewer may request more information. Case status alone should not be interpreted as a finding on the merits.
Case tracking is unavailable because this static preview has no case database or case records. Do not enter case credentials here.
No reports can be filed through this preview, so there are no case records to correct here. A verified support contact and correction process must be published before intake opens.
This static preview has no submission forms, case database, evidence uploads, accounts or case tracking. The web server records limited technical access logs; see Privacy information ↗.
A signed and verifiable mandate should identify the owner, agent, scope, works, territory and authorised actions. See Authority & rights verification ↗.
No. This website records an internal report first. When an authorised operator validates the exact right, work, territory, mandate and target platform, an external complaint may be submitted separately on the platform’s official channel.
A verified correction or withdrawal route is required for production operations. See Corrections & withdrawals ↗. The local prototype does not provide self-service changes.
No blanket catalogue authority is inferred. Any complaint requires an in-force written mandate matching the relevant legal rights holder, work or defined catalogue, territory, rights type and reporting platform.
No. Rights holders use the separate Rights-holder services enquiry. Public reporters may supply factual leads without asserting ownership; neither route automatically sends a complaint or creates an agency relationship.
How specific written mandates empower an independent third-party agent to act for the actual music rights holder.
The principal’s copyright ownership and BTXT Rights’ written agency mandate must both be verified for the relevant work, exclusive right, territory, duration and digital platform. A public tip is not itself an authorisation to issue a legal notice.
Sound recording rights and musical composition rights may have different owners. Some uses also require consideration of publishers, producers, performers, territories, licences and exceptions. The reviewer should identify which exclusive right is allegedly affected.
A representative may be asked for a signed authorisation naming the copyright owner and representative, specifying the works or catalogue, relevant territories, effective dates, permitted actions and any restrictions. This should be verified before external notice preparation.
Provide only the documentation necessary to explain the claim; redact unrelated financial figures, bank details, signatures or personal identifiers where appropriate. The current local test version should use fictional examples, not confidential agreements.
Choosing “Authorised rights agent” in the form does not certify that claim or appoint this service to act. A separate verified agreement is needed before accepting a commercial engagement or acting externally on behalf of a rights holder.

How mistakes and contested reports should be handled.
Reporting systems need a fair way to deal with incomplete information, ownership disputes and honest mistakes. This page describes the intended process, not a presently staffed legal appeals channel.
If you discover an incorrect recording, platform URL, rights scope or statement of authority, retain your case reference and request correction through the published verified operator contact once available. The tracking page does not permit self-service edits.
A person who submitted a claim can request its withdrawal. The operator should verify identity and authority, record the request and assess whether any external platform notice requires a separate follow-up. Closing a case here does not automatically retract notices elsewhere.
A third party disputing a claim should identify the reported material, its interest, a reliable contact and the basis of the dispute, including licences or other relevant permissions if appropriate. Do not send access codes or sensitive evidence to an unverified address.
Corrections and withdrawals should be recorded with dates, reviewer identity, supporting material and resulting status. An internal resolution does not determine legal liability or settle disputes over copyright title.
Until the operator verifies and publishes a monitored contact channel, use test records only. Statutory counter-notices and appeals must follow the relevant platform and jurisdiction's independent procedures.
What this public preview does and does not collect.
This website is a static information preview. It does not currently accept enquiries, infringement reports, case submissions, evidence uploads or case-tracking credentials. It has no user accounts, case database or mailing list. Do not send personal, identity or confidential case information through this site.
To deliver and protect the website, the hosting server records standard technical request information, which may include the visitor’s IP address, date and time, requested page, response status, browser details and referring page. Nginx access logs are rotated daily and kept for up to 14 rotations on the server. These logs are used for operation, troubleshooting and security.
The public pages do not require an account or use advertising or analytics trackers. The site’s fonts use local system fonts; the pages do not request Google Fonts. If you follow an external link, that separate website will apply its own privacy practices.
The website is hosted on AWS Lightsail in the Sydney, Australia region. Technical request logs are processed on that server. No form-submitted case or evidence data is collected by this public preview.
A verified operating entity and dedicated privacy contact have not yet been published. The preview is not accepting personal-data submissions. A complete production privacy notice and contact process must be published before any reporting or enquiry service opens.
Terms for using this public information preview.
This website provides general information about music copyright and responsible platform reporting. It is not legal advice, a copyright authority, an active reporting service or an offer to represent any rights holder. No client relationship, agency mandate or case is created by visiting this website.
Rights-holder enquiries, public reports, file uploads and case tracking are not available. Do not submit or send personal information, identity documents, confidential agreements or case materials. No complaint is sent to a platform from this website.
Any platform that receives a report through its own official channel independently decides how to review it and what action, if any, to take. Nothing on this website promises a removal, response time or outcome.
We aim to keep the public information clear, but laws, platform procedures and facts can change. Check the relevant platform’s current rules and obtain qualified legal advice for a specific matter. The website may change or become unavailable.
The verified legal operator, service address, governing law and business contact have not yet been published. These terms describe only the current public preview and must be replaced or supplemented before any service opens.
A mandate-led platform reporting procedure with separate public-information intake.
BTXT Rights operates as an independent authorised rights representative for mandate-covered matters. When intake opens, public tips will be kept separate from rights-holder engagements; an internal record will not be a DMCA notice or platform submission.
Log the source as rights-holder instruction or public lead, and record work identifiers, alleged use and precise listing or URL.
Verify the actual principal, current signed agency mandate, relevant work, rights type, territory, term and reporting channel.
Review evidence and possible licences, limitations or misidentification; prepare a platform-specific notice only if the mandate matches.
Record manual platform submission receipts and the platform’s independent decision; correct or withdraw inaccurate complaints promptly.
A claimant may control rights in one recording without controlling rights in the musical composition or another territory. A review should consider the distinction, ownership chain, licences, limitations and context rather than assume that a work's appearance on a service proves infringement.
A reviewer may request documentation or clarification, or record that a report cannot be processed. Attachments are not automatically screened for malware by this local version. Do not supply sensitive originals or unnecessary personal information.
Only where the operator has verified a specific written mandate covering the affected work, rights type, territory, term and target platform may a separate formal platform notice be prepared. An authorised operator must submit it manually through the platform’s official reporting procedure, using the actual rights-holder identity and accurate agent contact details. The platform independently decides on review, restriction or removal. Internal reports never trigger automatic delisting. No statutory agent designation, trade-body affiliation or legal authority is claimed.
A claimant must promptly correct relevant mistakes, disclose contrary evidence and withdraw unsupported allegations. Affected parties need an appropriate route to dispute assertions or seek corrections once a verified support address is published. Read our Corrections and withdrawals procedure ↗.
Internal status changes are logged. Users can check their case using both case reference and private access code. Generic email notices may be queued; receipt of an email alone is not proof that any content was removed.
For example, notices under US DMCA section 512 have defined elements and should be sent to the host platform's designated agent, not mistaken for this website's internal intake record. Legal review and platform verification are required before making such filings.
